My engagement sessions are typically a time to hang out with my brides and grooms and get to know their mannerisms in front of the camera. One of the things I have them do is just have fun and act like they normally would if there wasn\u2019t a camera capturing their actions. For James and Alison, I made them walk around and do silly stuff. They both seemed a bit reserved at first, but when I asked James to run toward me he grabbed Alison\u2019s hand and they ended up skipping and laughing all the way down the street. Let me tell you, James is a world champion skipper! He really took it to the next level! They had so much fun playing, I didn\u2019t have to ask them twice to get on the swing.<\/p>\n

What I love about engagement sessions is how casual and laid back they are. The session isn\u2019t necessarily about the place or anything going on around, but about the couple. It\u2019s a time to let them enjoy the company of each other and have fun. I love\u00a0learning the personalities of my couples at the engagement session, so on the wedding day, I can capture who they truly are.<\/p>\n
