Baltimore Corporate Event Photographer – Maryland Science Center

Over my 15 year career, I’ve been able to photograph many corporate events at beautiful, beautiful venues. And maybe I’m not supposed to say this, but I’m going to go ahead and say it anyway – the Maryland Science Center is one of my favorite event venues in Baltimore. Why? [Hint: look below!] Weddings, corporate events, you name it, and they do it right.

Of course, and event like this doesn’t just happen on its own – and this particular party had a ton of technical wizardry behind it – all provided by the production team at Produce It Now, LLC, who never cease to amaze!

Welcome Home – You Rock!

It’s always amazing to see a large crowd come out to BWI to welcome home our Military and their families who are returning from overseas. Saturday December 28, 2013 was the largest crowd I’ve seen yet. Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, community groups, families who just wanted to come and express their gratitude… It was heartwarming and emotional to see a mother meeting the son she hadn’t seen for 3 years. And the mother reunited with her toddler after a foreign tour of duty. And all the other families who were reunited with each other. I especially love greeting those many troops who don’t have anyone there to greet them when they set foot back on American soil. A simple “Welcome Home” and “Thank You” can mean the world to someone who has been away from home for so long.

Baltimore Newborn Photographer: Baby Addison

I don’t photograph a whole lot of families these days, but do tend to make exceptions in my schedule for the newborns. I love newbies! Baby Addison is the newest addition to my friend April’s family. April and her husband operate Neat Nest Maid Service and have been coming to our house for almost 2 years now. Their company provides wonderful cleaning services and April and her husband Tony are 2 of the nicest people on the planet. This session was great because I also got to meet their son Anthony – now a proud big brother! Although, truth be told, Anthony was more interested in playing with my kids than hanging out with his kid sister. Ah well…

I Still Love the USA Despite the Government Shut Down – Baltimore Military Homecoming Photographer

This whole government shut down business and the inability of our elected leaders to work together is getting on my last nerve. Having said that, when I witness the joy that our returning military families have as they step through the airport doors into this country after having spent MONTHS and YEARS overseas, I am reminded why – even with all our problems – I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Baltimore Military Homecoming Photographer – BWI Airport

I became a volunteer photographer for Operation Welcome Home Maryland in February of 2013, after having photographed a couple of military homecomings for hire. This amazing group of volunteers is there to meet every flight carrying our US servicemen and servicewomen and their families when they return home from overseas. Every. Single. Flight. Early morning, late at night, middle of the day – there is always someone there to meet, greet, and most importantly to THANK our returning military when they walk through the doors at BWI Airport. OWHMD always has at least one volunteer photographer to greet each flight as well – capturing those first moments at home, and some truly touching moments of reunion for families who have spent months and years apart.

OWHMD is always looking for financial donations, Thank You cards, and most importantly – they always need volunteers to donate their time to come out to the airport, shake some hands and just say “Thanks.” Updates and returning flight schedules are posted on the website or their Facebook page – or you can always call (410) 630-1555 for the most up-to-date schedule.
