On The Farm

The kids and I took a trip out to South Mountain Creamery yesterday afternoon to feed the baby cows and get some ice cream.  We had such a great time – I enjoyed it just as much if not more than they did!  After we fed the calfs, the kids enjoyed running around with some roosters who were hanging out by the barn, then we got to see the momma cows being milked before heading to the dairy store and getting some ice cream.

We took home a quart of fresh whole chocolate milk (which tastes amazing), some butter, cheese and a dozen farm-fresh eggs. I did my own taste-test this morning with fresh, free-range eggs vs the ones we had in the refrigerator from the supermarket, and there’s DEFINITELY a difference in taste.  The farm eggs are so much better!

South Mountain Creamery has delivery service as well – so you can get farm-fresh products delivered to your door.  I’m really looking forward to starting our home deliveries in April.
