As part of a graphic design class that I took at the Maryland Institute
College of Art (MICA) we were assigned to redesign a brochure of
our choice. I chose to redesign a bland, imageless bank brochure.
The main message of the brochure was that the bank has accounts
that are tailor-made for each individual. The brochure I designed
was not only informational, but it featured a calendar that would
also be useful, and less likely to be thrown away and keeping the
bank's name fresh in the user's mind. Capitalizing on the idea of
flexibility, I designed a brochure that could be clipped into a
daytimer, hung on a wall, or separated via perforations to be tucked
into a wallet or purse.
