This book jacket was created for a class assignment which asked students to integrate text and image to create a book cover for a novel about inner city living. The book was described as being a "gritty, fictional drama with an uplifting ending" targeted towards educated, upper middle income men and women from the 18-45 demographic.

The cover image is a composite of e separate stock photos; the figure and sky came from one photo, the chainlink fence from another, and the background from a third photo.
