As part of my typography class at the Maryland Institute College
of Art (MICA), each student was assigned a famous graphic designer
and typographer to research. As part of our research project, we
were asked to create a poster to announce a ficticious art exhibit
of the artist's work at a local art museum. The poster was required
to feature fonts created by the artist, as well as elements of the
artist's work.
My
poster features the work of A.M. Cassandre - theatrical and graphic
designer and fontographer of the Art-Deco period.
